BARNDOMINIUM PRICING & WHAT TO EXPECT

We want to provide our clients with a concise overview of what goes into pricing a custom barndominium build. Our TURNKEY pricing structure typically ranges from $150 to $350 per square foot. This is an average, and our pricing does not include well and septic due to the unknown factors of those, such as counties that require engineered septic tanks, etc. There are parts of the country where pricing is increased and part of the country where pricing is decreased. It’s essential to note that this range allows for flexibility, as certain features may not be applicable to your specific needs, ultimately reducing the overall cost. The specifics regarding finishes, appliances, and accessories will be thoroughly discussed with your general contractor once the blueprints are completed.

IF YOU ARE SHOPPING FOR PRICES AND YOU SPEAK WITH OTHER BUILDERS, MAKE SURE YOU ASK ABOUT THE FOLLOWING INFO ON PRICING. CHECK WITH THEM TO SEE IF THEIR PRICING OUT EVERYTHING INCLUDED IN OUR TURNKEY PRICING.

To get a true, accurate estimate, we recommend purchasing custom plans through us. However, we’re able to get very close to a true estimate prior to that process when you’re talking with a build consultant during your initial consultation. They will be able to walk you through pricing as we understand this is a very big deal.

If you are planning to build a barndominium, you need to know how much it will cost and what factors will affect the price. You also need to find a reliable and trustworthy builder who can provide you with a realistic and comprehensive quote for your barndominium project.

However, not all builders are the same. Some may offer you a low-ball estimate that does not include all the necessary expenses and details. Others may charge you hidden fees or extra costs that were not disclosed upfront. This can lead to frustration, disappointment, and budget overruns.

How Much Should You Spend on a Barndominium Build?

Barndominiums are becoming more popular as an alternative to traditional homes. They offer many advantages, such as durability, customization, and affordability. But how much does it cost to build a barndominium? And what factors affect the price of a barndominium?

In this blog post, we will answer these questions and provide you with some tips on how to get the best value for your money when building a barndominium. We will also show you how barndo contractors can help you with your barndominium project, from design to construction.

What is a Barndominium?

A barndominium is a type of metal building that combines a living space with a workshop, garage, or barn. Barndominiums can be converted from existing barns or built from scratch. They can have various styles, sizes, and layouts, depending on your preferences and needs.

Barndominiums are ideal for people who want to enjoy the benefits of rural living, such as privacy, space, and nature, without sacrificing comfort and convenience. Barndominiums can also be used as vacation homes, rental properties, or multi-generational housing.

What Factors Affect the Price of a Barndominium?

The price of a barndominium can vary depending on several factors, such as:

  • The size and complexity of the floor plan
  • The quality and quantity of the materials and finishes
  • The location and condition of the land
  • The availability and cost of labor and contractors
  • The permits and regulations required by the local authorities
  • The features and amenities you want to include, such as porches, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, etc.

To get a more accurate estimate of the cost of your barndominium, you need to consider all these factors and compare different options and quotes from different builders.
